Mini PC maker Rikomagic has released a new July 2013 ROM update for its dual-core Bluetooth-equipped MK802IIIS mini PC.
The new ROM is marked 20130722 and built on Android 4.2.2. You can download it direct from the Rikomagic website.
According to reports, the firmware has root access and Google Apps (gapps) preinstalled. The only thing missing is SuperSU or Superuser to give you full root access (you can install either of those from the Google Play store).… Read more
Barely a couple of days after the updated Rikomagic MK802IV news hit the streets, Freaktab regular user [neomode] has crunched out a new custom ROM for the mini PC.
While the original MK802IV model featured a Ralink 8188 Wi-Fi chip, Rikomagic has since replaced it with Broadcom’s increasingly popular AP6210, which features 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0.

Q: Is there an Android 4.2 ROM for the MK802?
A: The original single-core MK802? No, there isn’t. Official support for the original MK802 appears to have ended with Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and the REV.2 firmware. You can still download the REV.2 release from the Rikomagic forum site.
The closest you’ll get the Android 4.2 is a complicated process of installing Android 4.1 courtesy of CyanogenMod10 (CM10).… Read more
A new ROM firmware update has been released for the CX-919 quad-core mini PC. According to retailer Geekbuying.com, the ROM – version 0715 – is supposed to fix issues with the internal flash.

One of the early quad-core mini PCs was the iMito QX1, a basic USB stick-style model with a plug-in external Wi-Fi antenna and powered by Rockchip’s RK3188 SoC CPU. It originally came preloaded with Android 4.2 however, online retailer Geekbuying.com has now made available a new Android 4.2.2 ROM upgrade.
