Hi720 TV box mini PC packs in quad-core CPU, external Wi-Fi antenna

We’ve spotted what looks to be another Rockchip RK3188-based TV box mini PC on Aliexpress, this one called the Hi720.

Like many others, the Hi720 runs Rockchip’s quad-core RK3188 Cortex A9 SoC CPU, accompanied by 2GB of RAM and 8GB of flash, preloaded with Android 4.2 (Jelly bean) operating system. Storage is expandable by a full-size SD card slot, good for cards up to 32GB.

You get decent peripheral options thanks to three USB2.0 host ports. Networking comes via RJ45 Fast Ethernet and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi with an external antenna on the back left-corner. What you don’t appear to get is Bluetooth.

There’s also no composite AV on this one – you just get an HDMI v1.3 output port. Still, there’s not a whole heap of room for extra ports on this one. It looks a little larger in dimensions than the MK812A but no by a huge margin. That said, the MK812A manages to also include a 2MP camera and microphone. Power for the Hi720 is provided by a 5VDC/2A power brick.

As we said at the top, we saw the Hi720 TV box mini PC on Aliexpress selling for $82 including shipping.
