Hi714 mini PC packs in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth with dual-core Rockchip CPU under $50

Yet another another TV stick-style mini PC has turned up – this one is a variation on the many Rockchip RK3066 models called the Hi714. Apart from the dual-core SoC CPU, its accompanied by 1GB of DDR3 RAM and only 4GB of flash, preloaded with Android 4.1.1 operating system. (No word on any likelihood of an Android 4.2 update).

There’s a MicroSD card slot, good for cards up to 32GB and the chip clock speed is said to be 1.2GHz.

This one comes with both Bluetooth and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi connected to an internal antenna. There are no details on which version Bluetooth is supported however. What’s interesting here is that while you get one USB2.0 host port and a second microUSB OTG port, the power socket is a miniature DC socket rather than the typical microUSB port. The power brick is a 5V/2A type but the Hi714′s casework is a little narrow that usual with insufficient room for a second microUSB port on the back panel.

While it features the standard HDMI male plug on the other end, the bundle only includes the power brick and USB cable – no HDMI extension cable.

You can pick this one up on Aliexpress for around $48 including shipping.
