Nokia Lumia 925 goes on pre-order sale at Optus


Nokia’s new Windows 8-powered Luimia 925 smartphone is available from today on pre-order with local Australian telco Optus it was announced today.

The phone will be available on Optus’ $60 MyPlan for $0 upfront on a 24-month plan (minimum cost $1440), or can be purchased outright for $624.

The Nokia Lumia 925 comes with Qualcomm’s dual-core Krait-core Snapdragon MSM8960 SoC CPU with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of on-board flash, preloaded with Windows Phone 8. There’s no external storage available on this one.

It’s packed with a 4.5-inch AMOLED screen with 768×1280-pixel resolution, driven by Qualcomm’s Adreno 225 graphics engine. It also comes¬†with a 20000mAh Lithium-ion battery, good for up to 18 hours’ talk time.

The phone will go on sale in Optus stores, online and phone sales from August 1 but pre-orders are being taken from today on all three methods. You can pre-order online through the Optus Lumia 925 webpage.
