Rikomagic MK602 combines camera, microphone with Rockchip CPU

mk602Rikomagic was one of the pioneers of the mini PC revolution in 2012 with its original MK802 USB stick-style mini PC. We missed this one a few weeks ago when it was announced but it shows the brand is happy to branch out, launching this TV-top style model called the Rikomagic MK602.

It combines a camera and microphone in the front of the chassis with Rockchip’s original dual-core RK3066 SoC CPU. Unfortunately, Rikomagic says nothing about the camera in its specifications.

The MK602 otherwise comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of flash storage, preloaded with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system. The storage can be expanded through a MicroSD card slot, good for up to 32GB per card.

It’s similar in its peripheral port collection to many TV box style mini PCs we’ve seen of late with two USB2.0 host ports. Video output options include HDMI and composite AV through a 3.5mm TRRS connector while networking comes through an RJ45 Fast Ethernet port and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi wireless. It also includes Bluetooth but no mention of which standard version is supported. Apart from the camera and microphone, all ports are at the rear of the unit.

This one is selling from many online retailers – we’ve found it for around $85 on Aliexpress.
