The new Nokia Lumia 1020 comes reasonably well-stocked with features, including a 4.5-inch / 768 x 1280-pixel resolution AMOLED panel and a 1.5GHz dual-Krait-core Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon processor with an Adreno 225 graphics core handling that 4.5-inch display. These aren’t top-drawer specs but they’re adequate in the current market.
There’s 32 GB of built-in flash for storage inside the Nokia Lumia preloaded with Microsoft Windows Phone 8, but there’s no sign of external storage so what you see is what you get. A MicroSD card slot would’ve been nice here. Battery life looks quite good with 19 hours talk and 384 hours standby time from the 2000mAh Lithium-ion battery.
You’ll find Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP to handle personal connectivity and you can use any of the 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi standards available on-board. Multi-network support over 2G is handled through the device’s 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900MHz band coverage while for 3G networks, the bands covered are 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100MHz.
But the big feature of the Lumia 1020 is the whopping great 41 MP Carl Zeiss optics camera on the back. You do get a front-facing 1.2 MP camera for personal shots but it almost pales into insignificance by comparison. As you’d expect, the phone happily doubles as a videocam with support for up to 1080p@30fps.
The Nokia Lumia 1020 weights in at 158 grams and has external dimensions of 130.4 x 71.4 x 10.4 mm. Nokia announced this new model back in June 2013.
