AllFine Fine8 Style tablet features quad-core CPU, HD screen for Y699

Chinese tablet brand AllFine has released a new high-resolution 8-inch Android tablet that looks to be quite reasonable value in the AllFine Fine8 Style.

The Fine8 Style comes with Actions Semi’s ATM7029 quad-core Cortex A9 SoC CPU and Vivante’s GC1000 graphics core. Throw in 1GB of RAM and 8GB of flash storage with Android 4.1 preloaded to round out the on-board processing. If you need more space, a MicroSD card slot will give you up to 32GB per card.

It’s an unusually-sized 8.1-inch chassis with 1280×800-pixel resolution, although the panel construction is described only as ‘capacitive touchscreen’, which probably means it’s a basic TN type unless you hear otherwise.

The built-in battery is a 4300mAh Lithium-ion type and there’s the basic list of peripheral options including 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, miniHDMI video output and microUSB OTG port. You get two cameras, the best of them is the 2MP image sensor facing the rear. What you don’t seem to get is Bluetooth.

One of the more impressive features is the price – onsale at Y699 ($US115), it’s very keenly priced for a high-resolution quad-core tablet.
