A number of new ROMs have appeared over the weekend, some custom and some official updates, so it’s time for another ‘ROM Roundup’:

* CS868 – The firmware released is the official Android 4.1 ROM dated 30-May-2013. At this stage, there’s no information on what this firmware includes that’s new, but if you want a stock ROM to being customising, you can download all 238MB of it here. The link also includes instructions for setting up the CS868 and flashing it.

* MK802IV – Not an official release but a new custom Android 4.2.2 ROM from [neomode] over at Freaktab.com. You can view instructions on how to setup and flash the MK802IV here at Freaktab. The download is available from http://www.freak-tab.de/neomode/MK802_IV_NEOTVCR_V1_20130620.zip.

This one comes with a tweaked 720p kernel and includes improved Wi-Fi and Bluetooth performance, support for external webcam for Skype (Logitech C250 tested). You also get full root access, Chrome web browser plus reboot and blackscreen apps. There’s also an experimental Netflix fix for screen scrambling.

* ISA A19 – This dual-core MediaTek MT6577-powered 3G smartphone sells for $99 and to sweeten the deal, the first stock firmware has been released. No changelog available but if you want to customise the ROM, at least you’ve now got something to work with. It’s available from Geekbuying.com’s blog page and includes instructions on setting up and flashing.

* ZOPO C2 – Geekbuying.com has been busy this weekend with a number of ROM releases. This 3G quad-core-powered smartphone now has a new Android 4.2 ROM. Again, no changelog but you can download the ROM again from the Geekbuying.com website as well as info on how to set it up and flash it.

We’ll keep an eye out for other ROM updates and issue another ‘ROM Roundup’ shortly.
