You’ll find there’s a good list of features inside the new BlackBerry Q10 that should garner interest, such as a Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen-type panel, measuring 3.1 inches with 720 x 720 pixels resolution and 2 GB of memory to work with.
Other major features include a fast TI OMAP 4470 SoC or ‘system on a chip’ processor with a clock speed of up to 1.5GHz, while the 3.1-inch panel is driven by a Adreno 225 GPU core on the LTE version or a PowerVR SGX544 on the non-LTE release.
A 16 GB cache of internal flash handles on-board storage, while there’s microSD, up to 64 GB, to give you outside storage for larger files. You get the latest version of BlackBerry 10 (10.1) to run your favourite apps. Combined with the keyboard, it makes this the first keyboard-ready Blackberry 10 phone.
As for power, you’ll find the on-board 2100mAh Li-Ion battery is good for 360 hours in standby and 10 hours talk time.
In addition, personal communications is taken care of by Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP and Wi-Fi options abound with 802.11 a/b/g/n included in the design. Coverage is handled over 2G through its 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900MHz band support and 850 / 1900 / 2100MHz bands for 3G networks.
The main image sensor on the back of the device is a 8 MP (3264 x 2448 pixels) with autofocus type, while you get a more basic 2 MP unit on the front for video calls. The device also supports video recording up to 1080p@30fps.
The BlackBerry Q10 lands on the scales with 139 grams and measures 119.6 x 66.8 x 10.4 mm. The product was announced back in January 2013.
