Inside the Sony Xperia Tablet Z LTE, you’ll find a fast Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8064 SoC or ‘system on a chip’ processor with a clock speed of up to 1.5GHz and a 1200 x 1920-pixel resolution panel with LED-backlighting, measuring 10.1 inches.
Also, you get a memory cache of 2 GB, while an Adreno 320 graphics processor core handles that 10.1-inch display.
It comes with internal file space, provided by 16 GB of flash storage while external storage for larger files is provided by microSD, up to 64 GB. Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean), with a planned upgrade to 4.2, drives the Tablet Z LTE’s Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8064 chip. And for power, you can get 1230 hours in standby and up to 10 hours video-playback time via the 6000mAh Lithium-polymer (non-removable)-type battery.
Its wireless connectivity options abound with 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi included in the design and low-power wireless, handled by Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP. There’s basic 2G data coverage on networks supporting the 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz bands while 3G is covered by 850 / 900 / 2100 MHz bands. But as one of the new Android tablets with 4G/LTE data connectivity, the Tablet Z LTE also gets coverage on 800 / 850 / 900 / 1800 / 2100 / 2600MHz bands in 4G.
There’s a front-facing 2.2 MP camera but the device’s best quality photos are captured by the main 8.1 MP (3264×2448 pixels) with autofocus image sensor on the back. The device doubles as a videocam with support for up to 1080p@30fps.
The Sony Xperia Tablet Z LTE measures 266 x 172 x 6.9 mm and has a comfortable weight at 495 grams. Sony announced this new model back in February 2013.
