Specifications – Sony Xperia ZL smartphone

xperizzlThe Sony Xperia ZL features a 5.0-inch display using TFT capacitive touchscreen technology with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution and up to 2 GB of memory on-board.

Other major features include a Qualcomm MDM9215M / APQ8064 processor powering on with a 1.5GHz CPU clock rate, while an Adreno 320 core keeps the display panel busy, supporting apps and games.

On-board flash provides up to 16 GB worth of storage to play with while microSD, up to 64 GB, delivers external storage to the device for more and larger files. Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) gets a run, but a planned upgrade to 4.2 is on the way and powers the Sony Xperia ZL’s Qualcomm MDM9215M / APQ8064. And for power, you’ll see around 10 hours talk time and up to 500 hours in standby mode through its 2370mAh Lithium-ion (non-removable) battery.

Next, you can use any of the 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi standards available on-board and Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP handles the lower-power wireless side of things. Coverage is handled over 2G through its 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900MHz band support and 850 / 900 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100 MHz bands for 3G networks. Despite being released early in 2013, it is still a well-stocked phone wirelessly some six months later.

The device delivers high-quality photos, thanks to its 13 MP (4128×3096 pixels) with autofocus image sensor on the back and you get a simpler 2 MP camera on the front. The device is also capable of capturing video at up to 1080p@30fps.

The Sony Xperia ZL measures 131.6 x 69.3 x 9.8 mm and has a comfortable weight at 151 grams. Sony announced this new model back in January 2013.
