New quad-core DM918 mini PC has double Wi-Fi antenna

dm918There’s a new mini PC hitting the market and according to, it comes with dual external Wi-Fi antenna, making it first mini PC/TV stick with this feature.

Inside the DM918, you’ll find a decent mix of options, including Rockchip’s popular RK3188 quad-core Cortex A9 SoC (system on a chip) CPU clocking in at up to 1.6GHz and a decent cache of 2GB DDR3 of RAM.

Further, its graphics performance is powered by a Mali-400 MP4 graphics core.

You’ll find 8GB of flash to play with on the inside of the unit but there appears to be no external storage options available. The operating system running the unit comes courtesy of Android 4.1.1, upgradable to 4.2.2. Peripheral connectivity is covered by two ports for your peripheral devices, while your big-screen TV will get a work-out, thanks to its HDMI port. In addition, if you need personal communications, the device comes with Wi-Fi – 802.11b/g/n included in the design and those twin external antenna.

At this stage, it’s not clear whether or not Bluetooth is available.

The unit was originally announced in June 2013 and is available on Aliexpress for $US71.40, including shipping.
