VIDO launches 7.85-inch Mini One tablet, thinner than iPad mini

mininoneA new device has just rolled off the production line from Vido/YuanDao. It’s called the Mini One and amongst its features, it includes a cache of 2GB of RAM to play with and a 1.6GHz Rockchip RK3188 Cortex A9 quad core chip powering the new model’s performance levels.

Inside, there’s a 7.85-inch panel with 1024×768 resolution built from I-PS screen tech, also gaming on that 7.85-inch display is powered by a Mali 400 MP4 graphics core.

On-board flash provides up to 16GB worth of storage to play with while there’s TF card, up to 32GB, to provide bulk space outside of the device. The operating system is Android 4.1.1 to give you access to more apps. And for power, it comes with a sizeable 4000mAh Li-ion battery.

Next, if you need wireless connectivity, you get 802.11b/g/n to work with but no Bluetooth. A 5MP image sensor on the back delivers the device’s best photo quality and you get a secondary 2MP option on the front for video-conferencing. We believe the device is also capable of capturing video at up to 720p.

The Mini One lands on the scales with 300g and measures 200x134x5.9mm, making it thinner than Apple’s iPad mini. The device was announced first in June 2013. says the price is $US212.
