New Teclast P88s mini tablet – quad core but thinner, lighter than an iPad mini

p88sminiMore busy times lay ahead for Taipower Teclast with a new device hitting the market. We’ve got details on the Teclast P88s mini with a decent list of extras, starting off with a 1GHz Allwinner A31s quad-core chip delivering the major horsepower and up to 1GB of memory on-board.

Further, it comes with a 1024×768 resolution panel built from I-PS tech, measuring 7.85 inches, also its 7.85-inch panel is powered by the PowerVR SGX544 graphics core along side the Allwinner A31s quad-core chip.

There’s 16GB of built-in flash for storage inside the Teclast P88s mini while MicroSD, up to 32GB, will deliver external space to load in whatever you want. There’s Android inside to keep the CPU interested with the latest apps. And for power, it gets a decent 3900mAh Li-ion battery.

Next, there’s Wi-Fi available inside but at this stage, it doesn’t look as though Bluetooth is available, although this has not been confirmed. You can capture still images via image sensors on the back and front of the device, but again, no details are available on the sensor resolution.

The Teclast P88s mini lands on the scales with 299g and is just 6mm thick, making it one of the thinnest iPad mini-like tablets available. The product was announced back in June 2013.

It’s now on sale for Y899 (around $US146), according to Chinese website Flatbox net.
