HTC looks as though it’ll be kept busy with its latest device on the way to market. The HTC Desire 600 dual sim is a compact well-stocked release, featuring a Qualcomm MSM8625Q Snapdragon 200 SoC (system on a chip) CPU clocking in at 1.2GHz and a large 4.5-inch panel using Super LCD2 capacitive touchscreen technology with 540 x 960 pixels resolution.
Also, 1 GB of memory to run your apps, while the Qualcomm MSM8625Q Snapdragon 200′s GPU core is based on a Adreno 203 type with a view to gaming and video support.
There’s on-board storage through a 8 GB cache of built-in flash memory while microSD, up to 64 GB, delivers external storage to the device for more and larger files. The operating system is Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) to give you access to more apps. And for power, you’ll see around 11 hours talk time and up to 539 hours in standby mode through its 1860mAh Li-Ion battery.
In addition, personal communications is taken care of by Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP and there is good wireless connectivity available with 802.11 b/g/n built-in. There’s basic 2G coverage on networks supporting the 900 / 1800 / 1900MHz bands while 3G is covered by 900 / 2100 MHz bands.
An 8 MP (3264 x 2448 pixels) with autofocus image sensor on the back delivers the device’s best photo quality and you get a secondary 1.6 MP option on the front for video-conferencing. The device is also capable of capturing video at up to 720p@30fps.
The device’s weight tips the scales at 130 grams while its dimensions are 134.8 x 67 x 9.3 mm. The device was announced first in May 2013.
