Specifications – Acer Liquid S1 smartphone

News from Acer is its next device is making its way to store shelves. Amongst the list of features filling out the Acer Liquid S1 are a 1.5GHz quad-core MTK 6589 chip powering the new model’s performance levels and a TFT capacitive touchscreen-type panel, measuring 5.7 inches with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution.

Also, a decent cache of 1 GB of RAM, while its 5.7-inch panel is powered by the PowerVR SGX 544MP core inside the MTK 6589 chip.

There’s 8 GB of built-in flash for storage inside the Acer Liquid S1, while you can use microSD, up to 32 GB, to provide extra storage for the device. It features Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) operating system to run your apps and keep things busy. And for power, the device includes a 2400mAh Li-Ion-type battery but unfortunately, no talk or standby times were available at time of publishing.

In addition, if you need low-power personal wireless, Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP has that covered and 802.11 a/b/g/n-standard Wi-Fi will connect you to your home or office network. Multi-network support over 2G is handled through the device’s 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz band coverage while for 3G networks, the bands covered are at this stage unknown.

The device’s photos are captured by its 8 MP (3264 x 2448 pixels) with autofocus image sensor on the back. The unit doubles as a videocam with support for up to 1080p@30fps.

The Acer Liquid S1 weighs in at 195 grams. The announcement date for this unit was in June 2013.
